近年、わが国および韓国において、睡眠時無呼吸をはじめとする睡眠障害への関心は高まり、睡眠医学は診断・治療の発展のみならず、社会にその成果を還元すべき重要な学術領域として位置づけられております。
睡眠時無呼吸症に対する治療は、持続陽圧呼吸療法を中心に発展してまいりましたが、近年は口腔内装置、鼻・咽頭・顎顔面領域の外科治療、舌下神経刺激療法など、患者の病態に応じた多様な治療選択肢が求められております。
睡眠外科は、耳鼻咽喉科・頭頸部外科、口腔外科、歯科、呼吸器内科、精神科、麻酔科などの連携を必要とする領域であり、国際的な情報共有と継続的な討議が重要です。
このたび、日本と韓国の睡眠外科領域に携わる医師・研究者が相互に経験を共有し、今後の学術交流と臨床研究の発展につなげることを目的として、本シンポジウムを開催する運びとなりました。本会では、両国の睡眠外科に関する最新の知見、治療戦略、術前評価、若手医師の教育などをテーマに、講演および討議を行います。
睡眠呼吸障害に対する新規治療とデバイスを取り上げます。
小児OSA、咽頭・喉頭領域の病態と治療戦略を議論します。
睡眠医療における鼻手術の位置づけと役割を検討します。
手術手技と病態に応じた治療戦略を取り上げます。
